Updated parking rules on CERN sites

As announced, new parking rules entered into force on 1 August and clarify that CERN parking facilities are primarily intended for people accessing CERN sites as part of their official CERN activities.

To help ensure that parking spaces remain available for operational needs, a maximum parking duration has been introduced:

• Up to five consecutive working days for persons accessing the site for official CERN activities.
• Up to three hours for persons accessing the site outside the framework of official CERN activities.

For duty travel, longer parking periods may be authorised by the Registration and Access Control Service in designated long-stay parking areas.
