Parking at CERN
Parking areas
Parking is permitted only in designated areas marked with a parking sign (P). Vehicles must be parked within the marked bays and must comply with any restrictions indicated on site, such as:
- Reserved spaces
- Disabled parking
- Official vehicles
- Tow-away zones
Specific areas of the site may be subject to more restrictive conditions. Such restrictions may include, inter alia, shorter maximum parking durations, prohibitions of overnight parking, or other limitations justified by operational needs or ongoing construction works.
Parking duration
For Official CERN Activities
Parking facilities are intended for people accessing the site for official CERN activities.
- Maximum parking duration: 5 consecutive working days
- Longer periods may be authorised for duty travel in designated long-stay parking areas
For Other Purposes
For persons accessing the site outside the framework of official CERN activities:
- Maximum parking duration: 3 hours
Parking facilities should not be used to continue a journey outside CERN by other means of transport.
