The Site and Civil Engineering (SCE) department is responsive to the needs of the CERN community, committed to create an inspiring and welcoming environment. We give our full attention to meet your needs and enhance your campus experience by providing dedicated services: mobility, catering, accommodation, service portal, accesses, maps to help you navigate through CERN’s sites.
Housing Services
CERN’s Housing service manages:
- the hotel on Meyrin site (CH): 450 rooms spread over 3 buildings: 38, 39, and 41;
- the reservation for 151 rooms at the disposal of CERN Users in the public Foyer Résidence Schuman, located in Saint Genis-Pouilly (FR) at 2.6 km from the Meyrin site and 2.5 km from the Prévessin site;
- the rental of 12 fully furnished and equipped apartments, subleased by CERN, located in Meyrin and Grand-Saconnex (CH).
Catering Service
The aim of catering management at CERN is to provide, at a reasonable price, a range of options to meet the catering needs of every person entering the CERN site.
Mobility
CERN’s Mobility Centre offers CERN’s community mobility services to move inside the campus and in between CERN’s sites and launches initiatives to develop sustainable mobility at CERN.
The Mobility Centre incorporates the CERN bike and car rental services, self-service car sharing, E-mobility (e-bikes, e-scooters and connected bikes), car rental for long-distance journeys, and manages CERN’s shuttles and on-demand transport solutions.
The service also supports users with the car plates documentation process and provides information on mobility.
CERN Community Support Centre
The CERN Community Support Centre (CCSC) is located in two iconic places on the CERN Meyrin site: Building 33 (Esplanade des Particules) and Main Building (ground floor).
CERN Service Portal
The CERN Service Portal is the central entry point for requesting services, reporting issues, and accessing support provided by CERN departments.
It enables users to submit requests, track their progress, and find information on a wide range of services available across the Organization.
CERN Campus App
The CERN Campus App brings essential campus information and services together in one place.
It provides access to news, events, restaurants, transport, practical services, and useful resources, helping visitors and members of the CERN community stay informed and make the most of campus life.
