Carpooling

CERN partners with 2 carpooling solutions: Hé!Léman and Mov’ici

A signage has been set in front of the B entrance to pick up/drop off passengers.

Hé!Léman

HéLéman is a carpooling line with no booking required. This public service connects passengers and drivers heading to the same destination at the same time.

Everything works through the HéLéman app. The driver starts their trip when they set off, or up to 24 hours in advance, by entering their destination. The passenger goes to the nearest stop and submits their request on the app. When a driver is on their route and a passenger makes a request along that route, the driver receives a notification, and illuminated roadside signs display the passenger’s request and destination. Once the driver arrives, the passenger enters the driver’s code, allowing the service to know which driver the passenger is travelling with.

Once the trip is completed, the driver is compensated in two ways:

  • €0.50 for having offered their trip (even without a passenger)
  • up to €1.50 per passenger carried

For passengers, the service is free.

The CERN stop serves all HéLéman-equipped communes in the Pays de Gex area: Valserhône, Léaz, Collonges, Farges, Péron, Saint-Jean-de-Gonville, Thoiry, Sergy, Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Crozet, Chevry, Echenevex, Gex and Divonne-les-Bains.

HéLéman is a public service run by the Pôle métropolitain du Genevois français, supported by the Modus Foundation.

Mov’ici

Since June 2023, CERN has been partnering with Mov’ici, a car-sharing platform provided by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region that is also available free of charge in French-speaking Switzerland.
